Missing beaches and seaside? No problem, today we have a gorgeous wedding that took place in Greece, in the island of Ios, it was a gorgeous destination wedding with personal touches and a real focus on making the guests welcome and comfortable.
The couple had 60 guests in total, 11 from Greece and the rest from all over the US. We started with an overall budget goal and divvied up accordingly, keeping an eye on the total number and adjusting as necessary. The island of Ios was more affordable than one of the more well-known islands, and the hotel/reception/catering costs were definitely cheaper than they could be in the USA.
The bride was wearing a boho lace spaghetti strap one by Alexander McQueen, and she also added serenity blue wedges and turquoise earrings to highlight that it’s a seaside wedding. the groom was wearing a blue suit, a white shirt and brown shoes.
The wedding reception was with light-colored blue tables and fresh greenery, simple blooms and lemons, with lush greenery over the table and candle lanterns hanging from above. The couple wanted everything simple and natural, and they got it! The food served was traditional Greek and very tasty. The couple decided not to order a wedding cake but they got a lovely dessert table with cheese, fruit, loukoumades, chocolate ganache pie, and yogurt with local honey.
