As we are living in COVID-19 times, tying the knot is pretty hard and can be dangerous, so many couples prefer to move their weddings to next year. Jenay and Kuthula decided to still get married but taking all the possible precautions to stay safe. Take a look at their beautiful boho backyard wedding planned in just 2 weeks!
The wedding was an organic, perfect expression of love rooted in family, simplicity and culture. The couple did not plan a budget. They leaped for a backyard wedding two weeks prior and felt “this should be pretty inexpensive, right?!” The plans also evolved up until the day-of, making it nearly impossible to “pre-plan” much. The actual budget was $11,697 including the several outfit tries, wedding bands and (after) photography souvenir book. There were 27 guests present.
There were only 27 guests, and limiting to family and friends, a small invite list with wider streaming was also a good choice. Not only because of the pandemic, but it allowed the day to be very intimate and relaxed. They did practice the wedding ceremony, however they flowed with the reception and did the things that felt right, leaving behind other typical stuff. The wedding decor had a minimal approach, it was eclectic and bohemian.
The groom was wearing a powder blue suit with a printed bow tie and elegant brown shoes. The bride was wearing a plain wedding dress with a lace bodice, sleeves and a back. Her look was finished with a ponytail and a gold headpiece.
