The couple we are talking about today is really a free-spirited one. They met in Brooklyn where they both lived, and after a short time decided to buy a van, quit their jobs, drive across America and move to Los Angeles. These east coasters came to love the California desert so much that they had to share it with all their fave people on their big day.
Here you’ll see air plants and fresh eucalyptus lined the tables, along with minimal decor pieces that complemented the desert landscape. The tables were dark stained and uncovered, and the contrast between air plants and eucalyptus and dark tables was striking. Being on a budget, they did just about everything themselves (with the help of friends and fam). Luckily Claire knows how to manage large scale events and budgets for her day job, so planning in advanced and staying organized really helped. The reception space was lit up with lights and looked very romantic and cozy at night. The desert bouquets by Bloominous featured garden roses, ranunculus, tillandsia, pincushion protea, succulents, billy ball, veronica, eucalyptus, and coontie fern. The wedding cake was a simply white one topped with the same fresh blooms.
The bride was wearing a halter neckline criss cross wedding dress with beading and fringe for a free-spirited look and silver mules. She was rocking waves and a red lip for a relaxed yet bold boho look. The groom was wearing a navy suit, a burgundy tie and brown shoes. The groomsmen were wearing graphite grey suits. The bridal party were dressed in mismatched white dresses. Look at the wedding below and get inspired!
