This beautiful wedding in Zona Colonial in the Dominican Republic proves that an entire DIY wedding can be stylish and wow! Let’s take a look at the whole event, full done by the couple themselves.
The bride and groom, Fernando and Gina, own a design studio, so their wedding was a whole cool project for them, and literally every detail was provided by them to personalize this important day as much as possible. While Fernando took care of all the woodwork details, Gina painted signs, designed floral arrangements, crafted paper goods, personalized two leather jackets, and turned the Spanish-style patio venue into a tropical haven. Every inch of the venue was handpainted or adorned with palm leaves and vibrant florals, and I totally love the colorful painted photo booth backdrop – DIYed, too! The wedding cake a white buttercream one, with chocolate drip, cherries and pink plush flamingo toppers.
The groom was wearing a burgundy suit with a black bow tie and brown shoes. The bride was wearing a beautiful separate with a crop top with a sheer over top and an A-line skirt. The whole separate was embroidered with little pink flowers by the bride herself, and she was wearing an embellished headpiece with a veil. The couple covered up with handpainted leather jackets. The bridesmaids were wearing mismatched blush maxi dresses with lace inserts. Look at the pics to see other gorgeous touches of the wedding!
