Boho and desert weddings are extremely popular now, and what will happen if we merge both ideas in one? You’ll see the result looking through the pics of this amazing boho desert wedding with a retro vibe in California.
Karina and Jonathan took inspiration from their love of everything retro and vintage, they filled their wedding area with an eclectic mix of furniture, rugs, decoration and general bit and bobs. There were 150 guests and the venue, the desert ranch, was inviting and homey, yet isolated from the busy city. The wedding took almost an entire year of hard work.
The wedding theme was about all things vintage and boho, so there was furniture, Persian rugs, Afghan blankets, colored glass dishes and vases, 1970s Playboy magazines – anything brightly colored or velvet to feel like in a vintage home. The florals were colorful: purples, oranges, yellows.
The bride was wearing “Soho” by Grace Loves Lace, it’s a white crochet lace wedding dress with a high neckline, long sleeves and a cutout back. She finished her look with a bold makeup, a floral crown and glasses. The groom was rocking a beige shirt, brown Wrangler pants, leather braces and leather work boots. The bridesmaids were wearing rust-colored dresses and brown boots.
The wedding cake was a white frosted one with a wedding topper inspired by Dia de los Muertos, which was an exact replica of the couple and their dog.
