What do you think will happen if you mix modern and vintage details in your wedding? I have an answer — it will be an awesome feast such as Joohee’s and Pablo’s wedding day! These bride and groom wanted to unite traditional and trendy wedding elements, so they managed to do it perfectly.
They wanted to celebrate their wedding day close to home, friends and family, that’s why they stayed in New York City. After a long search of place where their wedding will be, Joohee and Pablo decided to pick up 501 Union In Brooklyn. It was an awesome choice for them cause this modern venue is really looking wonderful with these black and white walls and chic art deco wallpaper.
Pablo and Joohee set their wedding date for late September but wanted a real summer wedding. That’s why they picked up a romantic theme with pink and metallic main colors, fairy tulle and gorgeous flowers. That was their way to extend summer a little longer.
All decor details from invitations to the wedding cake were made with love. All floral elements such as table centerpieces, bridal and bridesmaids’ bouquets and boutonnieres were created by team of Edelweiss Floral Atelier. They used various types of flowers and greenery, for example, roses and little garden roses, peonies, etc. Pink color contrasted with the venue, so it was a very adorable effect.
Because Joohee’s family owns a bakery and she’s involved in this business as a manager and baker, she decided to create all wedding desserts by her hands. And I think it’s amazing to make and decorate your wedding cake as you want. She made a three tiered cream wedding cake with lace and ribbon decor and flowers on the top.
For her bridal look Joohee chose white strapless Monique Lhuillier gown and shoes from Christian Louboutin. Bridesmaids wore gentle maxi dresses from Watters and Alfred Angelo. As accessories they picked up elegant earrings from Chanel that ideally matched with the whole bridal and bridesmaid looks. The groom and groomsmen chose classic black suits from Men’s Wearhouse and bow ties.
After wedding day Joohee and Pablo admitted that everything went exactly as they planned and all stressing and preparing were worth it. “Aw – let’s do that again” — Joohee said to Pablo in the end of the wedding day.
