I can’t imagine a wedding without a photo booth – outdoors or indoors – but there should be one! There you will make super cute and fun photos to memorize your big day and have fun! The first thing you need for a photo booth is a proper backdrop or even setting, choose it according to your big day style and colors. A backdrop is easy to DIY, it can be made of paper, cardboards, fresh flowers and greenery, paper fans and so on. A setting can include a sofa, a couple of chairs, a coffee table in the style that suits your wedding. The second thing you need to get good shots is photo booth props that will give you a cheerful mood. Make some yourself personalizing them how you want!
Most of photo booth props are free printable, you need just to choose some or even draw them yourself using your computer and special programs. Then take heavy weight cardstock in your favorite colors, a glue gun, 11.75″ lollipop sticks (or the like), a Cricut Explore or scissors + an Exacto Knife. Once you’ve printed them and your machine is done cutting, carefully remove each design from your cutting mat. In seconds you’ll have beautifully cut out shapes that are any size you’d like! After you have all your designs cut, simply hot glue a lollipop stick to the backside! That’s it – super simple. These will easily withstand one event if not two. They are made of paper and can rip + bend so keep that in mind while storing and transporting.
Stencil or paint your props if you aren’t satisfied just with the color. You can also add some sparkle and shine to your props bedazzling them with rhinestones, feathers, or any other embellishments you wish. Be creative!
I also love the idea of a photo frame prop for your wedding, it looks great in any photo. Just take a frame you like or make your own one of cardboard and paint it and add rhinestones to give it a festive look.
Now read the tutorials below and choose the props you like, have fun making and using them!
