I think that a pergola decorated with flowers is the sweetest decoration for summer outdoor weddings! And the good news is that you can make it by your hands very easily! If you wanna find out how, follow our step-by-step instruction.
You’ll need three sets of rod pocket style curtains installed on an adjustable tension rod, approximately 12 yards loose mixed texture fabrics, 40+ yards loose mixed width ribbons, 20 stems peegee hydrangea, 2 bunches of silver dollar eucalyptus, 1 bunch pink gomphrena, 2 tillandsia and step ladder, scissors and roll of binding wire.
Create a base of large fabrics by hanging the tension rod from the pergola with wire. Layer additional large pieces of loose fabric. Now add loose pieces of ribbons, tying in place if necessary. Then gather mixed ‘bouquet’s’, hand tie and place at top of pergola draping over the front. Now thread wire around the bouquet and around the pergola to hold it to the structure. Voila! It looks awesome and gorgeous! Of course you can change flowers and fabrics, add bright colors and make accents. So how can you use it? First of all, you can use it as a backdrop and make a photo shoot with your partner or wedding guests, pics will be so touching! Second, you can use it as a backdrop for your wedding ceremony. And third , you can create food or drink bars near it. So now you should try various ways and figure out which one is better for your wedding! Create and enjoy!
