If you don’t like cake toppers that are offered in different shops and on the Internet, make your own ones. The supplies are spray paint – white primer, silver or metallic oil rubbed bronze, acrylic paint – metallic copper, plastic magnetic alphabet letters and numbers, dry paint brush, gauze, plastic plates, newspaper, painters tape, pop sticks, glue. Take your plastic letters, and starting with the magnet side up, spray a light coat of primer on each letter. Once the primer is dry, spray the letters with the silver or oil rubbed bronze paint. Once the letters are thoroughly dry dip the gauze into the drop of acrylic paint and gently rub along the edges of the letter because this technique gives additional dimension to the edges. Let dry and glue a pop stick on the back of each letter. By attaching the stick to the letter it allows you to better place the letters on top of the cake.
