Today we are diving into a coastal boho elopement shoot that will give you all those “under the sea” vibes – and no seafoam green in view. In fact, the team behind the day decided to forego all the obvious blues and greens for dreamy tonal pink details!
The aim of this shoot was to inspire creative, non-traditional, innovative couples that are looking to have an elopement by the sea. Everything from the sugar wisps on the cake to the translucent vellum of the stationery tells the story of the contradictions of the sea: the immense power of waves crashing on a cliffside, bubbling over the graceful, quiet wonderland just below the surface. After months of paralysis of the wedding industry, the team wanted this imagery to be about joy — about a couple who chooses to fill their elopement day with meaningful luxuries, and plenty of time for adventure too!
The bride wore a selection of modern bohemian dresses from Shikoba Bride and doesn’t this one almost look as if it were covered in seashells?
The day was held at The Beacon House, a New England-esque seaside venue an hour and a half from London. For the palette, the team played with a tonal explosion of pink, framed by crisp black lines – colorful yet still refined and contemporary. The table for the reception was set with tactile materials like tulle, pearls, and rope for a dreamy effect.
