Spring is here, the most romantic blooming time of the year has officially started and it’s high time to enjoy amazing and inspiring springs weddings. Lucy and Scott are from Washington, DC, but chose to say I Do in Split, Croatia at Villa Dalmacija which is right on the Adriatic Sea and full of amazing views. If you love bougainvillea, destination wedding, and spring, this wedding will inspire you a lot!
The couple wanted the style to be reflective of the environment they were in, their favorite colors, and their shared love of history. They wanted a floral-centric design similar to traditional weddings during the Roman Empire era. The colors were variants on their favorites, but adjusted to fit the Croatian atmosphere. The guys opted for a combined Catholic and Jewish ceremony with a rabbi and a priest, featuring traditions from both (continuing on to the hora during the reception!) but opted out of a full mass or church/temple ceremony.
The couple had a very knowledgeable wedding planner who had previously organized several other events at the villa. She was very invaluable to us throughout the whole process and ensured a smooth setup for the catering, lights, and decorations at the venue. They were also able to ask the photographer to use a drone camera to capture the full view of the venue from the sky and the sea.
The bride was wearing a romantic lace A-line sleeveless wedding dress with an illusion back, the groom was rocking a classic black suit with a tie. The bridesmaid was wearing a burgundy sleeveless dress. Get inspired by the beautiful ideas of this wedding below!
