This wedding shoot was fully eco-friendly, with a boho luxe wedding theme.

We’re fully aware weddings don’t tend to be hugely eco-friendly events, but there are lots of ways you can reduce your carbon footprint if you’d like to. After all, by us all doing a little bit, we can all make a big difference”. Jude from Wickerwood Farm enlisted the help of many talented suppliers to show you how an eco-friendly wedding is possible without compromising on style.

Tucked away in a quiet little corner of East Sussex is a wild wedding venue with a big heart. Wickerwood Farm is fast becoming known in the South East for its eco-conscious approach to hosting festival style weddings. The heart of this venue is a 3-acre lake displaying stunning water lilies and nestled within 14 acres of beautiful woodland. It’s a secret, peaceful place, home to all kinds of wildlife and species of wildflower and is exclusively available for wedding blessings right on the water’s edge – it’s this place that inspired to show it is possible to host weddings that aren’t damaging to the environment or its inhabitants. Not only was it important to keep the carbon footprint down but it was equally as important to find suppliers with a similar ethos to Wickerwood Farm as well as being distinctive in their work, which took some time.

The team set about designing two arches both with titmbers sourced from around the farm. Both designs were quite different, one you might find elements of in California with its huge rustic, bold triangle with an extravagant display of pampas and palm, a perfect design for large open spaces such as the reception area here at Wickerwood Farm. The other a little more bohemian-inspired, a silver birch frame nestled amongst the tree line, right on the water’s edge. Get more of this beautiful wedding shoot below!
