This wedding shoot was inspired by blue shades and was lux, refined and royal taking place in a chateau.
This beautiful and super romantic wedding shoot by La Fête is called ‘I Do In Blue’, set in a beautiful French chateau.
The starting point for planning this shoot was the color. The team knew that they wanted to incorporate shades of purple, but naturally moved towards a dominant blue color with crimson and amethyst accents. They also wanted the grooms to fit the color scheme, while retaining their own personal style, hence the navy suit and patterned blue tie, to the bright blue suit and pink tie. Once the color palette was set, they began to think of the style of shoot we wanted to create. Because of their French heritage, they have always been immensely inspired by the country’s history and after seeing a piece of royal blue Toile de Jouy fabric, they were set on a regal and decadent theme.
The shoot took place at Chateau de Chaillan. The stationery by the fantastic De Winton Paper Co. combined both nature in the delicate floral border and the majesty of the venue, with a bespoke watercolor illustration of Chateau de Chaillan. In keeping with the overall theme, Château Challain created for them a stunning three-tiered royal blue cake, complete with gold detailing, frame accents, edible pearls and sugar flowers.
The reception looked as regal as possible, with a matte gold cloth, polished gold cutlery, matching crockery, with a feathered mat beneath. The chair cushions were covered in electric blue fabric and the glassware, like the chandeliers hanging over the table, was cut crystal.
The wedding stationary was pretty, with watercolors and painted castle, where the shoot took place.
The second groom was wearing a midnight blue suit wiht a printed tie and a matching boutonniere.
The ceremony space was pretty simple, with lush florals in cages and peonies that are growing right in the garden itself.
The reception space was really royal, with lavish blooms cascading down from the table, gorgeous candelabras and a statement chandelier.
