Now, here’s something we’ve never heard of (and that’s saying something): this wedding took place in the ruins of an abandoned silk factory! It’s a magical little find in Lebanon’s capital. The couple, Bruna and Ibrahim, weren’t set on a traditional venue so they chose this one. Let’s take a look at their amazing wedding!
The challenge was to find a unique and unconventional location for this beautiful couple. They wanted to stay away from the common wedding venues and to find something new to make their own. The stylists found this abandoned silk factory in the suburbs Beirut. It was an empty canvas: virgin ruins for them to play with yet full of history and charm. For the decor and styling, we did our best to work around the ruins, wanting to blend in and not to overtake the charm of the venue itself. There were lots of gorgeous dried herbs and grasses plus fronds decorating the ceremony space and the reception.
The bride was wearing a jaw-dropping wedding dress with a deep plunging neckline, a cutout back, a collar and a long train of layers of fabric. She was also wearing a long veil and statement earrings – she seemed to be walking in a cloud of fabric! The groom was wearing a navy three-piece wedding suit with a burgundy tie plus white sneakers. The bride was carrying a bouquet of pearls and greenery that was custom-made for her.
