This wedding shoot took place in Joshua Tree and was done with a rust-orange color palette, which is so trendy now.

Orange, pink, and rust color palettes are having their moment right now, and can anyone think of a better way to make them pop than with a 70s inspired elopement in the desert? Toronto-based photog Robin Sassi and Carly Rae Weddings teamed up to bring this retro vignette to life, complete with tons of rad graphic details and our new-again, fave bridal trend: the cape wedding dress. Take a peek!

Joshua Tree and the surrounding high desert community has a very chill, retro vibe and we wanted to embrace that while bringing in some modern flair. The ceremony space was done with a boho rug, a triangle wedding arch and lush greenery with flowers. The wedding tablescape was done with bright blooms, bright stationary, colored glasses and cards. The wedding cake was done in rust color and with lush blooms on it.

The bride was wearing a white off the shoulder jumpsuit with a bow top and then a slip wedding dress with a gorgeous lace capelet. It’s amazing how beautifully Thistle & Oak Floral Co. was able to incorporate their color palette in the bridal bouquet. The groom was rocking a neutral suit with a floral tie and taupe boots. Take a look at the pics to get inspired!
