Even if you aren’t a fan of Amos Lee, you’ve likely heard the song ‘Sweet Pea’, and this song, which is played regularly on radio stations all over the world, was the source of inspiration for this wedding shoot featuring real life newlyweds, sweet pea inspired stationery and a custom Sweet Pea Cocktail with locally made Gin and fresh sweet pea blooms from one of Asheville’s most talented florists.
The stylists incorporated blue, watercolor and handwritten quotes into the stationary to create really a dreamy wedding shoot. The amazing thing about this particular shoot is how versatile it could be. As the stylists wanted things bright and happy – they opted for sunshine and chose to be outdoors (even in 32 degree weather) but this “look” would be suitable indoors, on the beach, or even for a small backyard elopement because the key parts of the theme were bright and fun colors and details.
The bride was wearing a beautiful separate – a blue full skirt and a white lace off the shoulder top with long sleeves. Her statement blue rhinestone earrings were created especially for the shoot, after the look for the bride was done. The groom was rocking a bright blue suit, a white button up and a bright floral tie.
The wedding cake was watercolor pink, with bright brushstrokes and gold leaf touches. It was topped with thistles and bright flowers.
